Lyudmil (リュドミール) is a character from Chapters 3 and 4 of The Epic of Zektbach. A member of Agiona, he is tasked with investigating and securing any ancient heritage that may prove "useful" that he can find around the world.
Appearance[]
Lyudmil has long blond hair that reaches his shoulders and blue eyes. He always wears an white and purple eye patch at his right eye, due to his disease. He wears a pair of purple boots, a dark purple pants, a black and pink belt and a top with a high collar black, pink and rose, with an Ouroboros, emblem of Agiona Agency. He also wears purple gloves.
Personality[]
Lyudmil maintains a distinguished and refined demeanor. He speaks with confidence and poise, readily pronouncing philosophical statements. He is a socialite and exudes noticeable charisma, showing talent as an orator when he promises the Milian tribe new land, and is immediately met with unanimous public approval.
Though he will usually do his best to appear affable in almost any situation, the one subject that he cannot bear to discuss is religion, as he judges the concept of a God utterly foolish. Any such discussion can quickly push him to anger, breaking his facade.
Lyudmil is also extremely prideful and vain. He demonstrates great narcissism, not only in regards to his exterior beauty, but to his social status and power : when Hannes tells him that his pride and lies are blasphemous to God, he retorts that the people gathered around him do not pray to God, but to him instead.
Tragically, however, Dorukuma causes him to gradually become unsightly and lose the natural attractiveness he was born with. As the illness progresses, he also loses some of his mental faculties and begins to develop an obsession for Hannes, even if he continues to deny her claims about God's existence. Right before he is killed, his mental state has deteriorated to the point where Rouven easily convinces him that Hannes, who was then standing directly in front of him, was only a hallucination.
