Character Descriptions[1][]

Hannes Farrugia[]

This work's main character. She was born on Fallarien, a solitary island far removed from the continent of Galukia.

As she was born from a woman who, despite being a virgin, became pregnant after drinking from the holy water of Lourdes, the power of which had for generations brought miracles upon the island, she was revered by its people as a miraculous child born of God's love, which is also why her name, meaning "Savior", was given to her.

Kind to every soul she meets, and of such beauty that she appears to have come down from Heaven, she is a saint revered beyond anyone else. But one day, when the holy water suddenly dries down, she receives a grave and cruel revelation from God : that she is to become the one who hunts sin.

Nox Catorce[]

A young boy with a noble attitude, who founded an anti-governmental army to aid the defenseless people who have suffered at the hands of the country's might. In actuality, he is the younger brother of Noigllado's queen, Matin, and was once the first candidate in line for the throne. However, he was stripped of his right to rule by the schemes of the Agiona Organization, who have since become the Kingdom's grey eminence. As a result, he fled the Royal Castle together with Adhuk, a close ally. As his travels bring him to witness the great amount of suffering brought upon people by Noigllado, he gradually comes to harbor an intense hatred for the Kingdom, but also Matin, its ruler.

Adhuk Neuendorf[]

The knight who leads the anti-governmental army alongside Nox.

Born into the Neuendorf family, a prestigious house of the Noigllado's knightly class, he was brought along in battles by his father, the skilled and renowned commander Adnowell Neuendorf, and from a young age, established a record of military exploits.

Following his father's death, he succeeded him as Captain of the Royal Guard, the highest position a knight could attain ; but, revolted by the inner workings of the Kingdom, he fled along with Nox.

Thanks to his experience on a number of large-scale battlefields, he excels not only in sword fighting, but also as a leader and tactician.

He considers Nox his son, and is always by his side, watching over him.

Matin Catorce[]

The Queen of Noigllado.

She was appointed as ruler during her childhood, when it was suddenly decided a woman would rule the nation, and became the first queen in Noigllado's history. She is a loving, sweet girl who always puts her people first, but is in reality nothing more than a puppet for the Agiona Organization.

Despite this, she firmly believes in the absolute necessity of the ages-old Trisagionid doctrine for upholding peace, and she is unforgiving to any form of evil that might come to disturb it. Even though her brother Nox and her were separated and wound up being enemies, she still strongly wishes to save him.

Falo Credere Etincelle[]

The Captain of the Royal Guard of Noigllado.

His father, Levan, born in the older town among a poor family, raised in status to become a member of the knightly class when he vanquished monsters who suddenly emerged from an uncharted forest. Thanks to this feat, Falo has been a member of the knightly class from birth.

When he was a child, then-Captain of the Royal Guard Adhuk treated him affectionately, and they formed a strong bond as a teacher and student.

Because he is a firm proponent of the idea that true knighthood is to swear absolute fidelity to one's king and defend them at the cost of one's life, his loyalty to Queen Matin is undying.

Besides his status as a knight, he is also well-versed in natural sciences, most especially the study of flowers and medicinal herbs.

Lyudmil[]

A member of Agiona, an advisory body for the Kingdom, he runs Dilia from the shadows. By making use of Gride, he intends to steal an ancient treasure inherited by the Milian tribe. He maintains a distinctly peculiar manner of speech, sharp, philosophical, and meaningful.

While habitually very gentlemanly and collected, he demonstrates unusually strong revulsion when matters of God or religion in general are discussed.

Gride[]

He hails from one of the families forming part of Dilia's ruling classes, that have from a long time ago dominated the numerous people of Milian descent living in the town. Because they are extremely faithful to tradition, the Milians are unable to oppose him.

A despotic and money-hungry man, he brutally exploits the Milians in exchange for renting them a place to live. As his only interests are gold and precious gems, he graciously offers every ancient relic he extorts from the Milian tribe to Lyudmil.

Lexi[]

A young man who serves as Lyudmil's close aide.

Although he hails from a unit of mercenaries, he is very apt at understanding and commenting on complex matters ; as such, Lyudmil has taken a liking to him and appointed him as his associate.

As a result, he has become Lyudmil's right-hand man, and acts as a keeper of law and order in Dilia.

Ernest[]

The priest of Fallarien Cathedral. He also serves as the village leader, thanks to being a unifying figure.

Because Hannes was an orphan, he is a father figure to her, as well as a reliable advisor.

Chloe[]

The mother superior of Fallarien Monastery.

Six years ago, she passed away from illness, and until the very end, she was worried about Hannes.

When she was alive, she was Hannes's mother figure, and together with Ernest, she raised her with love and care.

Sasha[]

The leader of the Milian tribe. Of level and calm disposition, she is a very cold woman. She is the heir to the bloodline of Milian leaders that, for generations, have guarded "that" which must never be touched by anyone.

Despite belonging to the very lowest class of Noigllado's social hierarchy, she has not lost one bit of her Milian pride.

Voice of God[]

The divine voice that resonates inside Hannes's mind.
