The AD World is the name given to our world in a hypothetical future, around the 26th century AD, as opposed to Aria Te'Laria, which uses the Melius Calendar. Humanity in the AD World, achieving a state of unity beyond peoples and cultures, sought immortality by any means in spite of the Second Law of Thermodynamics : this led them to consent to losing their sentience if it meant escaping eradication, which was the philosophy and end goal of Project Ouroboros.
In transitioning from the AD World to the world of Aria Te'Laria, the laws of the universe were fundamentally altered, as meme gained the ability to physically manifest, which gave rise to Ristaccia, and nature itself acquired a means of preservation against the erratic disruptions of meme, in the form of Turii and, eventually, A'Milia.
It has been clarified by Zektbach that the AD World of the Epic is only one possible future and course of action.
